Disability

Disability comes in many shapes and forms, both mental and physical. Some conditions allow us to live independently, whilst others require someone to be with us on daily basis. Family members and friends often get a taste of the challenges involved, and the pressures of disability can put one’s strength of character to the test – whether it’s you who’s living with a disability, or you’re supporting a loved one.

I can’t promise you the physical miracles seen in the movies, but I can offer you help on a mental and emotional level. As a person who was born with cerebral palsy, I understand that a disability can affect many life choices and decisions – from how you spend your time, what education or career path you choose, how you perceive yourself and the world around you, or how you interact with others.

My task is to help you realise that as challenging as a disability can be, it doesn’t have to define who you are. Life can still be exciting, interesting, and filled with adventures.

Fear is the biggest disability of all. It will paralyse you more than being in a wheelchair.
