How I Work

I know that reaching out for help can be intimidating or frightening, and that’s why I strive to provide a safe space.

If you decide to choose me as your hypnotherapist, you can expect:

• A solution-focused approach, with therapy tailored to the individual’s needs.

• An empathetic and non-judgmental atmosphere; a safe space to share and to ask for support.

• That, in care for your best interest, I refer you to a different therapist if either of us feel, for whatever reason, that we may not be the best fit

• That, as it is required from all therapists, I take my clients data privacy seriously. I do not share information about my clients with any third parties, and I take all appropriate measures to ensure a high degree of digital security.

In-Person Sessions

Modern technology allows us to connect and meet online, however many people prefer to experience a hypnotherapy session in the safe and quiet environment of a dedicated therapy room.

There are good reasons for that: seeing each other face to face in therapy room helps to generate a unique atmosphere of trust and safety, away from your daily distractions. This environment allows to discuss your problems, matters and concerns more freely; searching for solutions and participating in the therapeutic process without the risk of unwelcome interruptions.

I offer in-person sessions in a calming space in Fulham, West London and another such space in Northolt, West London.

Online Sessions

As I’ve touched upon above, modern technology has now evolved to a point where we can connect with each other irrespective of where we are. As long as we have a stable internet connection, we can freely communicate in real time even if we are thousands of miles apart.

Whilst many people prefer to experience therapy in a therapy room, many others prefer to experience therapy in a space with which they feel familiar. I utilise online technologies like video conferencing to reach clients and provide sessions via the internet, so that you can receive support from the comfort of a location of your choosing, wherever that may be.

FAQs

I understand that for some, the world of hypnosis and hypnotherapy can be something completely new and unexplored; and that for those unfamiliar with the practice, you likely have at least some questions about precisely what’s involved.

Let me therefore answer some of the most common questions of which I’m often asked.

What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is an altered, dreamlike state of mind that often occurs naturally, in some form or another, throughout a typical day. Our mind is in such state while we are daydreaming, or during those few hazy moments immediately after waking up or before falling asleep.

Hypnosis can be summed up neatly as “a state between being awake and asleep”. You’re not quite asleep, but you’re not exactly awake either. While we are in such a state, our minds are more open; allowing the unconscious to be coaxed into the conscious.

What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy, simply put, is the use of hypnosis in therapy.

There are many techniques and approaches that allow a therapist to tailor sessions to meet the unique needs of an individual. Therefore, your experience may – and most likely will – be entirely different from someone else’s.

Is hypnotherapy safe?

Generally speaking, yes, hypnotherapy is entirely safe – provided the practice is conducted by and with a professional who knows what they’re doing.

To make absolutely sure that you’re in safe hands, and that you receive the best possible care and support, it’s essential to opt for a qualified therapist – preferably one registered with an independent body with an established code of conduct, such as the GHR or CNHC (both of which I myself am registered with).

Are online sessions secure and confidential?

With online sessions, responsibility for safety and confidentiality lies on both sides. As such, I can only assure you about my side of communication.

My devices are guarded by appropriate security software, which I keep fully updated. I do not record any sessions – unless by your explicit written request, for your own records.

Will I wake up?

As mentioned above, hypnosis isn’t really a state of sleep, in the conventional sense; however yes, you will “wake up” towards the end of our session together.

One exception to this rule can be a hypnosis recording, the goal of which is to help you to fall asleep at night, in your own bed. In this case you will still wake up normally, albeit after experiencing a healthy and natural overnight sleep.

Will I lose control?

Categorically no, you will not.

Hypnotherapy is about empowering people. You will remain in control at all times, and you can put an end to the session if or whenever you choose, for any reason.
